PDK - Product Description
A Platform Development Kit (PDK) allows you to customize a Virtio Virtual Platform. The PDK includes a virtual platform, a library of components that can be used to easily modify or extend the platform and authoring tools to create peripheral stubs and even new models. This environment provides the flexibility to quickly add and delete peripheral models by means of the Virtio extension interface. This interface is exposed through Virtio's visual programming environment, which combines C, C++ and SDL as modeling language choices.
The developer can then apply test-benches with human interface models that enable interaction between the virtual model and its environment.
The resulting customized virtual platform can be distributed to other team members for use instead of actual hardware for software development and complete system integration, requiring only a virtual platform license.
