Virtual prototyping enables the integration of different high-level IP models, and the quick turn-around of different SOC variants using the multi-sourced IP. This enables more realistic validations of these IP blocks and platforms. Moreover, the speed of these high-level models moves evaluation from an isolated block-by-block basis, as typically is done for HDL models, to a system context evaluation process. This helps in the understanding of what a block or platform really can do for users and their current design.
